Individual Therapy

I take an integrative approach to treating my clients as each situation and individual requires a unique solution.

I continually stay updated on various effective modalities for multiple issues to achieve this. By doing so, I can offer personalized strategies that promote understanding and ease feelings of discomfort.

What Clients Discuss in Therapy

Clients often come to discuss various issues, including general anxiety, social anxiety, fears, and perfectionism. They may also experience depression, guilt, sadness, low motivation, worthlessness, and hopelessness.

Additionally, readjusting to civilian life following military deployment or retirement and navigating life transitions such as break-ups, divorce, separation, moving, job changes, mid-life, and empty-nesting can be challenging.

Relationship conflicts and challenges, academic or occupational concerns, grief and loss, poor self-esteem or self-image, attention deficits, and trauma are common discussion topics.

Teenagers and Therapy

As a psychotherapist, I provide therapy to teenagers aged 13 and up. Teens aged 13 and above must know they are entitled to confidentiality.

Anything discussed during therapy sessions, whether about sex, drugs, or emotions, will remain private unless the teen gives written permission.

However, it's important to note that confidentiality may be breached when there is potential harm to oneself, others, or property.

What Teens Discuss in Therapy

Adolescents often express feelings of being overwhelmed, stressed, and anxious. They may struggle with maintaining focus or completing tasks.

Academic performance may suffer, accompanied by changes in eating and sleeping patterns.

A loss of motivation, sadness, apathy, and a lack of interest in previously enjoyed activities can occur.

Social challenges may arise, with a sense of loneliness or not fitting in. Low self-esteem and negative self-image may prevail.

Questions regarding sexuality or gender identity may also arise during this stage of life. Increased irritability and mood swings are common.
